SYMPTOMS

While Java installation is in progress, a message box with the following error is displayed:

Error: Old file not found.

CAUSE

The actual root cause of this issue is still under investigation. Error 'Old file not found', indicates that Java installation process has failed.

SOLUTION

Please follow the steps below for resolving this issue.

Remove any traces of the failed Java installation by uninstalling Java
Download and install the Windows offline installer package.
