CAUSE
There are several possible causes to this issue, which are:
Proxy server requires authentication
Failed Network Connection
Download manager software interrupts the download process, e.g., GetRight
TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) programs, like Norton AntiVirus, may distract the installation process
SOLUTION
We are still in the process of evaluating this error. Currently we do not know the root cause of the problem. However the following are some of the workarounds that have solved the problem:
For Proxy server's authentication: Check the
Internet Connection Proxy Setting page.
Note: Make sure that proxy authentication is turned off.
Network Connection Fails: In case of network congestion or erratic Internet connection from the ISP, sometimes this does not work properly as the installation files doesn't get downloaded completely. We recommend you to try the manual download from our web site: Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003 Offline Bundle
Save the bundle in a location, and launch the offline installation bundle, once the download is completed.
Download manager software: Some download software manager's do not work properly and may interrupt or slow down the process. It is recommended to stop these third party download managers and start normal download.
TSR: Anti virus programs have options of not allowing the download, unless they are deactivated for that period.
