
How do I enable and view the Java Console?

The Java Console provides information about the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version, user home directory, and any error message that occurs while running an applet or application. You can enable the Java Console for the Windows platform.
Enabling the Java Console for Windows Platform
- Click Start
- Select Settings
- Select Control Panel.
- Double click the Java icon.
- Click the Advance tab.
- Click on the
sign
- Select Show Console and click Apply.

Viewing the Java Console for your Browser
- Internet Explorer
- From the browser menu bar, click Tools.
- Select Sun Java Console.
- Mozilla 1.4+
- From the browser menu bar, click Tools.
- Select Web Development > Java Console.
