What should I do about not being able to set proxy information for Java with current user account?

SYMPTOMS

Unable to set proxy information for the JRE with current user account


CAUSE

You must have administrator account privileges in order to set proxy information


SOLUTION

The user needs to have an administrator account privileges in order to set the proxy information for the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Contact the administrator of your computer to set the proxy information.
